Each widget and theme used with traditional website construction editors require constant vigilance to ensure the entire mix is compatible both with the underlying WordPress version, but also with each independent theme or plug-in that is incorporated into the website.  Not only can plug-ins become incompatible with the actual version of WordPress the site is using, incompatibilities can also be come apparent between the various plug-ins if the mix ids not suitable, or the coding is not accepted.

Week 1 - Understanding the MobileFirst-Personal Desktop

MobileFirst-Personal Website's desktop and user interface are easy to understand for anyone interested in building their first website.  The interface has been designed for easy access of all the features.  In this article the desktop configuration is highlighted.

The left hand menu of the desktop displays the various modules available for the owner to use.  The graphic of the interface is from our most economical general plan offered, our Personal plan.  All the possible modules are displayed, but a number of them are greyed out.  These are ones that are not include with the Personal Plan.  

The modules available in this plan include 

1. Home - brings you to the main desktop
2. Help & Support - Gives access to the extensive help section with lots of videos, helpful tips and tutorials on a wide range of topics.  Please note, help is often available wherever a "?" appears in the main editor.
3. The Academy - This button brings you to the various Courses that have been created using the Academy module.  In this case, these are the various courses created by the Founder and offered mostly for free.  The last four courses are designed for training newcomers to understand how the interface works.
4. Main Module Mobile and Desktop sites - this is the main workhorse of the website editor.  Clicking it brings you to the site list, which lists all the sites you have created on the plan.  From there the editor can be accessed to create, maintain and change any site you own.
5. Main Module: Progressive Web Apps - When a website has been created and built out to a finished status, the PWA section allows the site to  be transformed into a true mobile Web App using just a few clicks.  PWA advantages will be covered in a future newsletter, but you can find out more using the "Intro to Progressive Web Apps" tutorial at the top of the Academy module home page.
6. Main Module: Manage Academy - More complete plans such as Educator and Influencer include full access to the Academy course building module.  Courses such as those found in the "The Academy" button discussed above can be easily created using this module.
7. Main Module: Links Redirector allows log links to be shortened and the user redirected to other actual link when the links director is used.
8. Sales & Marketing Module is not available with the Personal plan. This is the set of modules that are used with the fully featured e-commerce features included in the Commerce and Influencer plans.  Included on the list are Proposals, Invoices, CRM 2.0, and the Earnings Calculator.  Thee will be discussed more thoroughly when the E-commerce section is covered in a coming future newsletter.
