Personal Websites Hello everyone, The MobileFirst-Personal Websites has been developed on a rather different philosophy than most other website development platforms. It has been created to offer everyone the ability to have and maintain their own private websites. Originally the internet was developed to become an information resource to the internet community. No serious sales were allowed in their original philosophy. We all know how well the business community followed those guidelines, rapidly developing platforms that made creating a website so expensive and complex that having a website as a private individual soon was well out of reach to all but a very few percentage of us. I made my first website in 1996, called tropicalfishaquarist.com and have been able to keep it operating for most of the interim. But it was often a severe burden to do so. WordPress websites, the standard were free as a blog, but adding anything onto them meant extra expense and complexity as the open source code was developed in a variety of styles, often incompatible with the rest of the plug-ins. Much time was expended in ensuring the proper version was updated and all the various plug-ins behaved well enough that the website continued to be live. I made it my mission to find a different way to mount and maintain a website. It had to be simple - easy enough that I didn't need to code or program at all. SO technical simplicity was a primary factor. Then I wanted to make sure the site was transparent. There will always be updates and improvements, but they must be transparent and invisible to the actual webmaster, allowing them to focus only on the way the website was constructed and improving the content, not the underlying structure. The main problem with WordPress, for the non-technical individual, is that the plug-ins are not usually compatible with each other, that had to eliminated for my vision. With the advent of Mobile First technology, the whole game changed. With the creation of the MobileFirst platform, the internal construction blocks became proprietary, controlled by the underlying structure and always compatible across the widgets and upgrades as they occurred. No longer was the actual viability of the site operating in concert with all its parts, that was dealt with without the webmaster needing to know or perform any actions. There are billions of mobile phones in use on the planet. Most of them are smart phones with the ability to browse the internet. This is the most valuable digital real estate. Traditionally the way to get onto that real estate and in front of the eyes of the owner has been to be seen on a browser as the user scrolls through the offerings. Traditional websites are created on a full size screen with an editor that is built to create desktop sites mainly. The advent of Mobile First technology as recognized by Google a few years ago has forced most of the these site editors into offering responsive versions where they basically shoehorn the big screen into the phone's small screen, usually with all the bells and whistles that larger resolution can actually exploit!
